First of all I would like to thank all staff, parents and carers for helping to raise the substantial amount of money we have been able to spend on our school and swimming pool this year.
If you haven’t already seen it, we have a new outdoor classroom in the school playing field which has been donated by FoBC. The money has been raised from the Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre, Mangotsfield Festival, Web Ivory as well as the school discos. This outdoor classroom enables the children to spend more time outside during the warmer months.
The swimming pool has also had a make-over. We have a new floor, new covers and changing rooms. The children as well as parents/carers have all commented on how great the new look is. The money raised to fund this has come from sponsored swim events, opening the pool after school and during the school holidays.
We are always looking for new members to join us with fundraising ideas or offers of help. This year we need help setting up and running our Summer Fayre. We have decided to make it more of a traditional fayre, including some favourites such as The Coconut Shie, Soak a Teacher and Penalty Shoot Out, just to name a few. If you are able to help us at this event I will be putting a rota in the FoBC tray in the office where you can put your name down. . However, if you are unable to help at this event, we are also having a stall at the Mangotsfield festival. Again, I will put the rota for this event in the FoBC tray in the office.
Dates for your diary:- Mangotsfield Festival 14th June – procession will leave The Lamb Pub at 10.30am.
Summer Fayre 28th June 2008, 12 – 3pm.
