Welcome to Year One classroom.

We have a very cheerful class in Year 1 this year. Our teacher is Miss Chant. We are very lucky to have two other adults helping our class - Mrs. Woodward and Mrs. Rowley. We learn a lot but we also have lots of fun every day! We have swimming every Wednesday and PE every Thursday. We also have our own outdoor play area where we can play with the sandpit or read a book on sunny afternoons.

At the moment we are exploring the theme of the seaside through Science, Geography and History. Some other topics we will cover are Barnaby Bear, Places of Worship, Materials and designing a building!

We are learning to read and write all our keywords and put them into sentences. We are also learning to add and takeaway.
