We have been very busy in term 2. The children in Leopard class are enjoying the routines and are very settled into their learning.
Week 1 and 2 - In the first few weeks of the term we were learning all about writing instructions. We wrote instructions about 'How to make a Jam sandwich' . We enjoyed making jam sandwiches too!
We worked hard on place value and extended our learning on understanding number.
We started our new topic -' Food Glorious Food!' We have designed and made our own fruit kebabs, tasted foods and found out where our foods come from!
Week 3 and 4 - In the last few weeks we have focused our learning around the story 'The Tiger who came to tea!' The children have enjoyed changing the original version and making up their own very creative stories - we are very proud of our work! Our handwriting is also improving!
In maths we have been focusing on addition and subtraction. We have continued our work on number bonds and we have been solving subtraction problems and some of us have been solving missing number problems! In our Topic we have investigated and learned where in the world our food comes from. We are looking forward to our visitor coming in next week, who will extend this learning further!
In forest skills we have enjoyed making woodland smoothies and also making hedgehogs and finding out what food they eat!
