I hope you had a lovely half term and the children are feeling refreshed for term 2.
I always enjoy term 2 as it is the lead up to...do I say it...Christmas. This is always a lovely time of year in School. However, before Christmas performance practise and fun begins we do have lots of learning to fit in.
Our term 1 topic, Our Environment, continues into term 2 but the focus this term is animals. We have a visit from a local veterinary nurse who will speak to us about animals in our local environment as well as caring for the pets we may have at home. Our homework project will be based on this focus as well.
Spellings and homework will come home during the first week of term. Please look out for these and if they don't make it home, please see me, I always have spares! :-)
The pool is now closed for the winter months, therefore we will have two PE sessions each week. Please keep PE kit in school and remember to remove earrings.
It is also parents evening this term, I look forward with meeting with you all to discuss your child's learning.
I think that is all for now...see you on Monday morning!
