A pirate's life for me!
Our topic in Leopard class this term is: A pirate's life for me.
English: during our English, we will be writing a fact file about pirates, a letter to a troll and we will be writing instructions on how to make Easter nests.
Maths: we will be covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as part of our calculation lessons. As well as this, we will be learning about 2D and 3D shapes, number and place value and capacity and volume.
Linking to our topic:
For RE, we will be exploring the Easter story. In computing, we will be looking at the basic skills of using a computer, such as typing with a keyboard. In Geography, we will be developing skills in reading and using a map, as well as exploring the different continents. For Art, we will be designing and making a pirate ship and for science, we will be looking at everyday materials.
This is a busy term with parents' evening, test week and phonics testing.
I am looking forward to another fun packed term.
