Coronation

On Friday 5th May we celebrated the Kings Coronation. We all came dressed as Kings or Queens- past, present or future. We had an art competition where we created art that represented what Britain means to us- Destiny, Holly and Isla were the winners.

We wrote questions to The King as well as writing about what we do if we were King or Queen. We have sent these to Buckingham Palace and hopeful we will get a reply.

We had an assembly where we found out more about Westminster Abbey and what we can expect from the Coronation.

We came together for picnic lunch and in the afternoon lots of us made more sandwiches and cakes, fit for a King. Year 5 painted rocks and have hidden them round the area as a lasting memory of this historic event.
