Welcome back Chameleons. I am so proud of how you have behaved and taken every opportunity offered to them. Parents - you should be proud of them all.
I am sorry that access wouldn't allow photos to be uploaded but I will be uploaded them now to the Year 4 page.
I hope they all have a good nights sleep tonight!
Mrs Capel
The weather has not been so kind to our campers this morning, with a little rain. It has not stopped them from being outside orienteering. Thank goodness for coats, hoods and outdoor shoes!
The children have been shipwrecked and left to choose their priority items!
The children are having lunch and plan to leave the Wye Valley around 1pm.
The children all had a good start to the day after a great nights sleep. They have stripped their beds and packed their bags ready for home!
The children have a full morning of activities to complete before we leave. They are all eating breakfast to set them up for the day.
Mrs Capel called with an update;
We played games this afternoon as a team using hoops and ropes, followed by a spaghetti challenge to make the largest structure to hold a ball!
All children ate a good dinner, then we made egg parachutes and dropped them out of windows - only one team remained in tact!
Some children have already gone to bed and the others are on their way now
Lunch was a roaring success with huge amounts of food eaten, including fruit!
The children have mastered stepping stones across a toxic swamp, crossed trap doors and seen how many children they can fit on a mattress and flip it over!
The weather has stayed fine and the children have visited the tuck shop.
The children have endless amounts of energy and are having a great time.
Year groups 3 - 6 had a visit from the MAD bikers today. They amazed us with mountain bike tricks and taught us about bike safety.
There are lots of photos on the school Twitter account @BarleyClose
The children have completed their first two activities of the day. Blindfolded team work involving toxic waste and archery. We have a few Robin Hood's and Maid Marion's! The weather is overcast but dry.
The children are behaving really well and Mrs Capel is very proud of them.
All campers have slept - some by 9.30, others kept their excitement going until just after 10 ............
Boy room and cherry room were the first to sleep!
First risers began around 6.30 this morning, so they've done very well. All brushed teeth and showered last night. Room inspections are proving a success!!
Apologies for the lack of photos, but access is still failing us.
