COMPETITIONS
Our partnership with CSET provides us with many opportunities to enter competitions, tournaments, leagues and festivals throughout the year, against other local primary schools.
We aim to enter as many as we can, ensuring as many children experience the nature of competition as possible.

KS2 Dodgeball Tournament
5th Jan 2023
A fantastic performance by Team BC at the Dodgeball Tournament, hosted at Mangotsfield Secondary. No winners were selected at this particular event but Team BC were focused, enthusiastic and supportive of other competitors! We are very proud of you all!
Huge success for Team BC!!
Our amazing KS2 Football team competed against several of our local schools, with the following results:
Barley Close 1-0 Parkwall
Barley Close 0-0 Manor
Barley Close 1-0 Wick
Barley Close 3-0 Redfield Edge
This means we are through to the Finals on 25th November!! Huge congratulations to the team, who were very gracious and respectful in their wins.

Due to COVID restrictions in June 2021 we ran the event in Sept with yr 3and then yr 4-6

Jerry- Yr 6 75m
Lockdown Dance Achievement!
Nancy in Year 2 has worked really hard all year developing her dance skills at local dance troop 3D Dance, and during lockdown achieved 2nd place in one of their competitions! A fantastic achievement, well done Nancy!
Lockdown 3.0 Cycling Achievement!
Two of our amazing children at Barley Close spent lockdown cycling 100 miles to raise money for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal! Incredible effort and such a worthwhile cause - what a fantastic and productive way to stay active and healthy during lockdown!
