Hello,
I have worked a Barley Close for 14 years (a long time I know!) and have seen many families come and go over the years. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families who make Barley Close their school. As a mum of two sons who attended the school I understand some of the issues that can affect us as parents. Our role is to support parents and carers to be involved with all aspects of their child's school life.
I can offer emotional and practical support to families, to empower individuals to face life's challenges. You are always welcome to pop into The Hive - student nurture room and family support centre - for a chat or just to say Hi. I have biscuits too! Alternatively you can email me on sharon.harris@barleyclose.org.uk
I work with students to help them address barriers (and potential barriers) to learning through supportive one-to-one sessions. The aim is to build confidence , resilience and to raise aspirations. Making their experience of school a positive one.
