The children have been working hard in week 6 on their sewing project. We have completed a significant amount of the project and have sent them home on Friday.
If you wish to add the finishing touches to the project this is how it can be done
We have reached the stage of 1:40 on the video.
If anyone wants a project over the holidays we'd love to see some finished projects. Children who bring in their finished projects will win 75 raffle tickets which can be used throughout the rest of the year.

Our first week back has been wonderful. We have been lucky to have a visit from Bristol Water which the children thoroughly enjoyed. In this session we looked at water pollution and discussed lots of different aspects of pollution from plastic in the water to waste. We have also started our Dance unit with Bristol Sport and Rugby in our PE lessons. These new skills have been great fun to explore and have fun with. Our new focuses for this term: Geography (Maps and Skills), English (Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun), Science (Living things and their Habitats) and PSHE (Healthy Me).
All the year 4 team look forward to an amazing term 4!
World book day week has been amazing. It was super to see all the awesome costumes that everyone wore. The children made all the staff in Chameleons proud by sharing their poem - Scissors by Allan Ahlberg.
The week we finished up some excellent newspaper reports about Onyeka (from Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun) when she found her powers.
We started off this week with our class photos. We can't wait to see how they come out. This week we have began our focus on diaries and fronted adverbials in English. We have also began looking at position in Maths and had a recap with shapes. Our dance in PE has been coming on incredibly well. All the children have been flourishing with the street dance they have been learning with the wonderful Bristol Sport coaches.
This week has been incredibly busy with assessment week and parents evening on the same week. It was wonderful to meet all the parents and parents evening and share the progress of the children. All the children worked incredibly hard throughout this week on their tests and have made all the adults proud.
We finished the week off with a Rugby session with Star Rugby which the children all loved!
After a busy week 4 it was nice to return to some normality in year 4. We spent the week finishing off our English unit and wrapping up our work on Onyeka and the academy of the Sun. All the children wrote some awesome pieces of writing focusing upon fronted adverbials and noun phrases with prepositions.
A super busy final week for Term 4. The last two terms have been amazing! We started off our week with our Art Workshop where we designed tiles with bugs with some local artists. We have had them displayed in the hall for everyone to see, so if you're ever in please take a look! We have been working hard on finishing our DT project this week. The children have worked incredibly hard on their running stitch skills. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish our projects so we have sent them home to be finished over the holidays if you wish. I have popped some details about this at the top of the page.
We hope you all enjoy the well deserved break and look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 22nd April for the beginning of term 5.
