Careful choice of clothes and footwear is particularly important with the very young children, especially to assist with changing for PE. Your help in this way will be greatly appreciated, and will aid your child in acquiring self-confidence and independence in school.
Children are expected to come to school in their PE kit on their classes PE days.
Foundation Stage and KS1 -T-shirts (white or royal blue)
Dark Shorts or tracksuit bottoms/leggings
KS2 - Plain white, royal T-shirt
Shorts or tracksuit bottoms/leggings.
Outdoors - Wellies/change of shoes.
School team kit is provided for representative teams for both boys and girls.
Children with long hair should wear it tied back during the school day.
WE WOULD REQUEST THAT ALL CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR IS CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE CHILD'S NAME - This will enable lost items to be returned.
For the personal safety of pupils, mobile phones are permitted to be carried to and from school. They must be taken to the school office for safe keeping during the school day.
We do not advise the wearing of any jewellery or watches in school other than plain stud earrings without stones. The school will not accept responsibility for their loss or damage.
Jewellery must not be worn for PE, Games or Swimming. Children who have recently pierced ears (within 6 weeks), must bring a sticking plaster to cover their ear-rings for P.E. EAR-RINGS MUST BE REMOVED FOR SWIMMING. NO CHILDREN WILL BE ALLOWED TO SWIM WEARING EAR-RINGS.
